All Dogs Matter

HOWND is a proud supporter of many years of London-based dog rescue All Dogs Matter. The charity works tirelessly as a small team to transform the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs around Greater London and overseas. They will will never put a healthy dog down. And they don’t discriminate against a dog’s breed or age – all dogs matter. Founded by HOWND’s great friend Ira Moss, together with actor and patron Peter Egan.

The Surge Sanctuary

Surge’s animal sanctuary is located on an 18 acre site in the rural Midlands of England. The animal right’s organisation includes vegan educator Earthing Ed and its mission is to offer a lifelong, no-kill, safe haven and forever home to abused and unwanted animals. We are extremely proud to support this wonderful initiative that aims to educate and rehabilitate.

An organisation that is dedicated to bringing about just change for livestock. Animal Rebellion is a mass movement that uses nonviolent civil disobedience to bring about a transition to a just and sustainable plant-based food system, to halt mass extinction, alleviate the worst effects of climate breakdown and ensure justice for animals.

Animals Asia

HOWND is proud to support Animals Asia over many years. Founded in 1998 by the incredible Jill Robinson MBE, Animals Asia promotes compassion and respect for all animals and to end the barbaric bear bile and dog meat trade in China and Vietnam. HOWND co-founder Jo spent a week at the Vietnam sanctuary in Tam Dao in September 2019 and saw first-hand the phenomenal work this charity does to effect long term change.

Cadela Carlota

While visiting a remote area in Portugal in 2019, HOWND co-founder Jo and 3 rescues named Kitty, Obi and Joia (all now safely living in bonny Scotland) crossed paths. Jo witnessed such cruelty to dogs in the area and decided to raise funds back in the UK to bring rescues over three times a year from the Cadela Carlota no-kill shelter based in Lagos to Islay Dog Rescue in rural Scotland.

Miracle’s Mission is a UK registered animal welfare charity working to provide safety and support to animals in need worldwide wherever they can through their spay and neuter campaigns, education drives and rescue and rehabilitation of disabled animals.

Islay Dog Rescue

The small team at Islay Dog rescue have been rehoming dogs from death row since 2011. Islay Dog Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organisation operated by Lorraine Jardine and a dedicated band of volunteers from Glen Islay Farm, a small-holding near Cumnock, on the South-West Coast of Scotland.

Nowzad

Nowzad was created by Pen Farthing, a former Royal Marine, in 2007 after rescuing a dog he called Nowzad while serving in Afghanistan. Founded by former Royal Marine Pen Farthing in 2007, the charity has restarted work in Afghanistan after the Taliban’s returned to power. Nowzad Ukraine supports animal shelters and the brave staff who stayed behind, helping animals with no voice but ours.

APDAWG

APDAWG is an All-Party Parliamentary Group made up of MPs, Peers and associate animal welfare organisations, ethical pet industry companies and other qualified people or groups with a specific interest in animal welfare. HOWND co-founder Jo Amit is a member of APDAWG. The group is chaired by Dr Lisa Cameron MP, as well as revered vet Marc Abraham the indomitable animal welfare activist behind Lucy’s Law.
